What it Does?

• Audi ADCU Project System Testing constitutes Testing of more than 300 PDU DTCs.

  • For Each PDU, 3 DTCs to be tested for at least 6 Test Scenarios.

  • Existing Automation consumes manual efforts for result analysis reducing the efficiency.

  • 6 Weeks needed for overall execution with 3 Test Engineers

  • With new automation, it execution takes 2 Weeks with 1 Engineer.

How?

• Existing Automation was inefficient because of the instability of the Test Setup : Canoe, VT System, Fragile VT Studio Scripts.

• New Framework was developed using Python and CAPL.

• Python brought in the faster Development time and Analytical Features.

• CAPL brought in the Timing Precision required for Automotive requirements.

• Improve Stability by:

  • Prevent any conditions which cause Test setup instability.

  • If setup still fails, Detect it & take corrective actions.

  • Ensure the Test Report is very good and Engineer spends minimum time on Analysis.

New Automation was developed from scratch within 3 Weeks. This is less than half of 1 execution cycle with existing tool !! :)
